Yokohama Japan, Houston Texas and Yokohama Japan – A JGC Corporation ("JGC"), Kellogg Brown & Root LLC ("KBR") and Chiyoda Corporation ("Chiyoda") Joint Venture ("JKC") has been awarded the Front-End Engineering and Design ("FEED") Services for the Onshore component of the Ichthys Project to be developed by INPEX Browse, Ltd and its Joint Venture Participant Total E&P Australia.

A Venture Company for the Ichthys Project, fully owned by INPEX CORPORATION
2. Composition of
Ichthys Joint Venture:
INPEX Browse, Ltd. 76% (Operator) and Total E&P Australia 24%
3. Location: Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia
4. Scope: FEED Services for the LNG Plant and Utility, Off-Site, Marine Facility and Associated Infrastructure, etc.
5. Capacity: LNG (More than 8 million tons per annum), LPG (Approx. 1.6 million tons per annum), Condensate (Approx. 15,000 barrels/day in Darwin)
6. Execution: JGC-led Joint Venture (“JKC”) comprised of JGC, KBR and Chiyoda.
7. Type of Contract: Cost Reimbursable
8. Summary of Project:

Feed gas to the LNG facility will be delivered by pipeline from the Ichthys Field 850 kilometers west-southwest of Darwin. LNG production is for export to markets in Japan and elsewhere.

As operator of the Ichthys Joint Venture, INPEX regards the Ichthys Project to be of key importance from the standpoint of Japan’s energy security.

Each of the JKC Joint Venture companies - well known as Major LNG Contractors - are very grateful to participate in and contribute to the Ichthys Project, a milestone project for both Japan and Australia.
