Initiative to Biodiversity
Chiyoda has participated in Private Sector Engagement in Biodiversity partnership and has been active. Our mission 'harmony between energy and environment, healthy, prosperous and sustainable future' has much in common with the long-term goal of new strategic plan 'The World Living in Harmony with Nature' reconfirmed in the Conference of the Parties (COP15) and We are is taking action in accordance with the following basic ideas.
- To abide by the laws and regulations relating to biodiversity
- Corporate activities with consideration of ecosystem conservation
- To raise awareness towards biodiversity conservation
- Active information disclosure on our initiatives
Among the 3 objectives of Convention on Biological Diversity 、(1)biodiversity conservation (2) sustainable use of component of biodiversity (3)fair and equitable distribution of profit arise from utilization of genetic resources, we are mainly working on biodiversity conservation activities.
- Biodiversity Conservation around construction sites
- Member of Kanagawa Trust Midori Foundation
- Tree planting activity at "Chiyoda no Mori" managed by Kamaishi Forest Owner's Association
- Purchasing CO2 absorption credit （12.00t-CO2 in FY 2024）
