Stable Supply of Clean Energy
1. Promotion of Constructing environmentally friendly LNG plants (Cleaner LNG plants)
Chiyoda Group continues to promote the development of Cleaner LNG plants to reduce CO2 emissions in line with rising demand for LNG and its increasing significance as a transition energy source as the global drive towards decarbonization gains momentum.
Ongoing North Field East （NFE）LNG project in Qatar are equipped with four trains of LNG production facilities that can produce the world largest 8 million tons of LNG per year. Large CCS（CO2Capture・Storage）facility is attached.
LNG Plant（NFE: North Field East LNG production facilities Qatar）Freeport LNG project in USA whose construction was completed in 2020 reduces CO2 emission during operation of plant through the use of electric motor drives (E-Drive) in the cooling system in lieu of conventional gas turbine drivers.

Having high electrical and thermal conductivity, Copper is used in EVs, electric wires, storage batteries, motors and many other electric devices and the demand is expected to grow even more from now on. Chiyoda Group completed copper smelting plant in Indonesia in November 2024 that can produce maximum 480thou. ton per year which is the world largest single line production.

Early Realization of Hydrogen-Based Society
1. Development of Large-scale Water Electrolysis System
In collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation, Chiyoda is are promoting development of large-scale water electrolysis system. We will contribute to the goal 'introduction of water electrolysis system and achievement of 15GW globally by Japan related companies by 2030' in the 'Basic Hydrogen Strategy' by the Japanese government. Chiyoda also contributes to the energy security by domestic and overseas hydrogen production and by involving construction of supply framework.

The MCH Compacted Dehydrogenation Package in use for decentralized applications of imported hydrogen - in eary 2024, Chiyoda and partners commnced a MCH Dehydrogenation Refueling Station demonstration project in Singapore, to operate heavy duty Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCV) with imported hydrogen at Pasire Panjang Terminal.

1. Technical Development of CO2 Alternative Energy and CO2 Capture and Use
We are working on the technical development and demonstration to realize a decarbonized society through alternative energy sources that either do not emit CO2 or capture and effective use of CO2, aiming for commercialization before 2030.

We completed one of the world's largest CO2- methanation test facilities capable of producing 400 Nm3-CO2/h for INPEX Corporation.

Contribution to Healthy and Fulfilling Lives
Life sciences is a field of technology closely related to basic living: ie: nutrition through food, health through pharmaceuticals and medical care, and habitat through chemical products and the environment. Chiyoda continues to provide high value-added solutions on a customer-driven basis by leveraging its experience accumulated through the design and construction of facilities in this field.
1. Pharmaceutical field
Chiyoda has completed vaccine drug substance manufacturing facility and expand into the construction of various manufacturing pharmaceutical facilities, encompassing a wide range of modalities from small molecule drugs to biopharmaceuticals by leveraging our more than 60 years of experience constructing over 630 pharmaceutical plants.
Chiyoda continue contributing not only through traditional plant construction, but also by the introduction and implementation of continuous production technology as well as manufacturing technology in the field of pharmaceutical drug substance and intermediate by applying our technologies cultivated in the petrochemical field.
