Renewable Energy

Renewable energy is energy from sources that can be repeatedly and sustainably used, such as solar power, wind power, biomass, hydropower and geothermal energy. Renewable energy contributes to energy security and is ideal in addressing climate change due to the limited greenhouse gases emitted during power generation. The Japanese government's ’Basic Act on Energy Plan’ aims to expand the adoption of renewable energy to realize carbon neutrality.

Business Development in Offshore Wind Power Generation

In line with the Japanese governments offshore wind power goals of awarding 100MW of power generation by 2030 and 30-45GW by 2024, as established in its 'Basic Act on Energy Plan'.

We provide a wide range of services with high-value-added support through various engineering functions. This includes conducting multiple feasibility studies, supporting public tenders, project management assistance services tailored to developers in bottom-fixed offshore wind power.

In floating offshore wind power, we provide solutions for the planning of cost-competitive and highly feasible floating offshore wind farms through partnerships with experienced technical providers from overseas. Our services include conducting research and evaluation of domestic and international supply chains, and we have been awarded and are executing multiple feasibility studies for the construction of floating offshore wind farms in Japan area.

We continue to contribute to the expnasion of offshore wind power generation through these solutions.

Chiyoda’s Renewable Energy Track Record

Chiyoda has supported the adoption of renewable energy through the execution of solar power generation projects since 2011, the year prior to the introduction of the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) system, and successfully completed the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of 37 projects with a total capacity of 405MW to March 2024.
