By addressing the challenges of stabilizing the power supply-demand balance and managing output fluctuations of renewable energy, battery energy storage is becoming an increasingly important renewable energy source in the global drive towards a decarbonized society.
This project includes the installation of two large-scale battery systems for
ENEOS PowerCorporation; one with a capacity of 50 MW at their plant in Muroran City, Hokkaido and the other with a capacity of 100 MW at ENEOS Group's Osaka International Petroleum Refining Co., Ltd. refinery in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture.
Chiyoda was contracted by ENEOS PowerCorporation to undertake the engineering, procurement and construction of the facilities, including the installation of the battery system and associated equipment. Chiyoda was awarded this project based on our track record of optimal engineering using our facility safety evaluation methodology, our extensive experience in constructing world-class battery systems and our project management capabilities.
The plant in hokkaido has been completed and the one in Chiba is under execution.
