Summary of the 2026 President's Message
The following is a summary of the President's Message to employees by Koji Ota on 1 April 2026.
I am delighted to announce that we welcomed 79 new employees at the start of this fiscal year. We warmly welcome the passion and energy of our new employees, as we work together to drive innovation and commit ourselves to growing as 'One Team' towards a brighter future.
There is currently no clear prospect for a resolution to the conflict in the Middle East. The Chiyoda Group prioritizes the safety and security of all employees and their families, and we are taking appropriate measures to address the current situation. We also bear the responsibility of protecting the world's energy lifeline, a mission of great social significance. I extend my gratitude to all colleagues who are working tirelessly to advance our projects under extreme circumstances and reaffirm that safety is our core value and first priority. We will continue to strengthen our crisis management capabilities to provide comprehensive support.
Last year, we began operating under a new medium-term management plan 'Business Plan 2025' with the key expression 'Be the Change'.
In this second year, the focus will be on accelerating actions under the 'company-wide business development' framework, where all employees aim to discover and secure new projects, transcending departmental and operational boundaries. The aim of the newly established 'Business Development & Growth Transformation Division,' the previous Business Development Division, is to serve as a compass for employees to work with a shared sense of commitment in executing the 'Business Plan 2025' and realizing corporate growth under the framework. We will acquire new projects, transform our business portfolio and increase corporate value, while expanding business co-creation that leverages cutting-edge technology and engineering capabilities as a differentiating strength, enabling us to become a partner that collaborates with clients to create business together.
Recent global developments highlight the value of peace and the significance of health and safety and I reiterate that, as our core value, 'safety takes precedence over everything'. I also urge you to place even greater emphasis on compliance as the foundation for corporate activities, and approach your daily tasks with this awareness in mind.
Fiscal year 2026 is the second year of 'Business Plan 2025' and we continue to build upon the foundations established through our 'Be the Change' initiatives. Let's make this a fruitful year as we strive to achieve long-term growth and become an 'attractive engineering company'.
