Chiyoda launched the O&M Transformation Solution Business Department in 2023, the first to be officially named as an O&M department. As a company that focuses on EPC as our core business, we now provide services beyond the lifecycle of new projects into plant operation and maintenance, further supporting our customers in their safe and sustainable business activities.
The Japanese plant industry faces many complex challenges, including 1) labor shortage due to aging populations, 2) aging facilities and, 3) technology succession. The mindset of customers and employees is adapting in response to these factors, and advancing digital technology, as society transitions towards decarbonization. Chiyoda has therefore developed "plantOSTM", a total plant operation and maintenance solution service, incorporating our unique combination of engineering expertise, technological prowess and project management experience.
We combine on-site physical support with our advanced analysis and analytical services, IoT, cloud, AI and other cutting-edge digital technologies, to provide 'plantOSTM' (basic system for operations), a digital platform that transforms customer operation and maintenance activities to realize "Business Safety".
EFEXIS, Chiyoda's AI product is now integral to plantOSTM solutions as a process digital twin that leverages our process expertise and proprietary simulator. And we are reconstructing our ChAS consulting services under the plantOSTM umbrella.
We also collaborate with other engineering companies, AI and sensor vendors and control equipment vendors in Japan and overseas to lead the transformation of O&M across the plant industry.
