Chiyoda Co. was chosen as a constituent of the SNAM Sustainability index

Information Sep 14, 2016

Chiyoda Co. has been chosen as one of the constituents of the SNAM Sustainability index that the SOMPO JAPAN Nippon Asset Management (SOMPO JAPAN) started in August, 2012.
"The SNAM Sustainability index" is used in SRI (socially responsible investment) fund for pension funds or institutional investors to invest widely in companies with the high ESG (environment, society, governance) evaluation ratings. SOMPO JAPAN makes much of the ESG evaluation by a research company to choose a constituent and performs long-term investment through the portfolio determined by its own index.
This time the CSR activities of Chiyoda group have been highly evaluated and Chiyoda has been chosen as the constituent of the SNAM Sustainability Index.

In September, 2015, the Government Pension Investment Fund (the GPIF) of Japan signed the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), and the long-term investment attaches more and more importance to ESG of the companies to be invested.

Chiyoda group strives to communicate with the stakeholders, and will contribute to development of the sustainable society aiming at the global problem solution through engineering.
